Holistic Nutrition

What is Holistic Nutrition?

As an RHN, I will discuss, evaluate and assess your nutritional status in consideration with any other health issues that you are currently managing. As a retired nurse and RHN, I base my practice on experience, researching relevant practice, and your information in order to provide you the best possible advice to manage your nutrition and to improve your general well-being.

As an RHN, I strive to bring to my clients a balanced and varied diet that is not only practical, enjoyable but that will accompany you into the future. A properly managed diet can often help alleviate many health issues that ail us in our daily lives. Over the years, most of the research I have done for my clients and myself has shown that poor nutrition may have an impact on health issues such but not limited to:

  • High Blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Allergies
  • Fatigue
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Acne

The ultimate goal of food is to provide fuel for your body but in today’s busy society – food intake can often by driven by social events, habits, convenience and emotional factors. My goal is to guide you in addressing these important considerations, which can have a deep and lasting impact on your health, and step by step achieve your goals in incremental stages that suit your life

Susan’s Beliefs

I firmly believe that nutrition plays a key role in your everyday wellness and health. What we eat effects almost every aspect of our general health.

My firm belief is that a good nutrition plan can become a way of life. The core of my practice is to tailor such a plan according to your personal needs, daily and social demands and other factors that are unique to you. Through this process, I will provide you with support, a plan that suits you, and a step by step approach that will allow you to achieve your personal goals. I believe there is not a “fits all” approach – any plan is tailored to accommodate you and the speed at which you want to embrace any changes.

I equally publish Facebook articles, recipes, thoughts & ideas to create excitement around nutrition.

Insurance coverage is constantly changing – more and more companies are starting to cover Holistic Nutritionists. Speak with your insurance provider for further details.
